Palmwood Plyboard
Coconut palm plyboard, also called Palmwood, Coconut Lumber, or Coco Lumber, this is a hardwood timber from Coconut or Date palm trees planted as a plantation crop throughout the tropics decades ago for harvesting the coconut fruit. The tree reaches the end of fruit bearing life after 70 years of age, then felled to make way for future crops. Each year, several million palms are felled and until recently burned or wasted as by-products. Now a valuable alternative to hardwood for different products, from high to low densities suitable in a range of applications from structural to flooring to paneling to furniture. LEED contributing.
