General Electric (GE) sells products
under the Monogram®, Profile Performance Series™, Profile™,
GE®, Hotpoint®, and SmartWater™ brands.
 GE
Monogram®, GE's top product line, offers energy efficient
refrigerators, icemakers, ranges, range hoods, cooktops, wine
chillers, dishwashers, and barbecue grills.
General
Electric Appliances signed an historic energy efficiency and water
savings agreement for Next Generation Clothes Washers, in cooperation
with environmental groups, energy efficiency advocates, utilities,
state governments and other appliance manufacturers.
The
agreement commits them to seek U.S. Department of Energy concurrence
on a new clothes washer energy-efficiency standard. GE's role
helped in the development of the agreement that will set the clothes
washer energy efficiency and water savings standards for the appliance
industry at least through 2012.
Water
Efficiency: The Monogram® dishwasher uses 7 gallons
of water for each wash.
Dishwashers are available in European or traditional American
design. The European-design models feature a long-lasting stainless
steel interior.
The
Monogram® 36" built-in freezer and 36" built-in
refrigerator come with left-handed or right-handed door swing
and are available in stainless steel wrapped or models that accept
custom door panels.
Electrical
Efficiency: their 22 cu.ft., top-mounted refrigerator/
freezer uses an average $52 per year U.S. energy consumption and
uses a non-CFC refrigerant.
