All of our bamboo is harvested in China from bamboo plantations -- not from wild habitats. Bamboo is a highly renewable resource, harvestable only four to six years after being planted. Its low moisture absorption properties make it ideal for humid climates and applications where moisture might pose a challenge for other types of flooring.

Solid bamboo
Purchase directly from the GreenSage.com Store. In regular flat grain or vertical grain 3-ply laminate. Available in natural (blond) color or warm amber. Unfinished or prefinished with aluminum-oxide enhanced UV-cured acrylated urethane with anti-scratch hardened acrylic top-coats (the most durable finish technology currently available). 30 year warranty available for residential applications.

Engineered Bamboo
Purchase directly from the GreenSage.com Store. Our engineered selection is constructed of a 1/8" layer of bamboo on top of plantation-grown pine and rubberwood backing, using a virtually formaldehyde-free adhesive. This floor can be "floated", an installation process where the planks are glued to each other and not to the subfloor — great for radiant heat systems.
