450 Architects’ work is informed by an environmentally conscious design approach, and by the desire to successfully integrate disparate elements, ideas, and systems into the final solution. Never just a school, or just a home, each project is a complex and refined solution that embodies the client’s objectives, community’s interests, and the unique qualities of the site.
450 Architects is a San Francisco based architecture firm established by David Bushnell and Richard Lee Parker, A.I.A. The principals began their design collaboration nearly twenty years ago. 450 Architects work reflects a continuity of ideas, attention to detail, and dedication to the client that emanated from their long-term professional partnership. The nature of their work is unique and highly personal, and they strive for cost effective solutions.
They seek an architecture where all members of the design team are treated as equal and important to the final solution. The firm’s design process invites client participation and teamwork; indeed, the best projects arise from a spirited collaboration with all the groups or individuals involved in the project.
