Save Money with Roof$ense
Carlisle SynTec, a leading manufacturer of single-ply roofing materials, recently introduced Roof$ense, a web-based lifecycle analysis program that enables building owners to calculate the potential energy savings that can be realized from an energy efficient roof design for the next 10, 20 or 30 years.
Available free of charge through Carlisle Manufacturers Representatives, Roof$ense reports can be generated in minutes, quickly demonstrating how building owners can potentially save thousands in energy and maintenance costs while improving the overall efficiency of their properties.
Roof$ense is designed to provide a simple, efficient and accurate assessment of a buildings projected energy costs based on both its location and the materials used in its roof construction. All data that is compiled in the Roof$ense program is gathered from independent sources, such as the United States Department of Energy and the building owners utility bills, ensuring premium, non-biased accuracy.
With Roof$ense, building owners can compare and contrast the energy savings of a wide variety of roofing systems, including membranes and insulation, for a wide range of locations, including every zip code in the United States as well as 300 locations in Canada. Roof$ense can calculate the optimal R-value based on location and energy costs and even calculates a building owners overall return on investment related to roof expenditures.
Carlisle SynTec has been investing in single-ply membrane roofing systems for more than 40 years. For those particularly interested in obtaining LEED Local Resouce credits, Carlisle has manufacturing facilities in Carlisle, Pennsylvania; Greenville, Illinois; Senatobia, Mississippi; and Tooele, Utah.
Be sure to go to the GreenSage Directory to locate EcoStar, a division of Carlisle Construction Materials, offering a full line of synthetic roof tiles manufactured from recycled rubber and plastics. EcoStar roof tiles offer the aesthetics of traditional slate and shake roofing products while contributing to an healthier environment through the use of recycled materials.
EcoStar recently added its installation specification to ARCAT, an online tool that allows architects to properly and easily specify participating products into their designs. Titled Spec Wizard, this online tool will allow architects to easily add EcoStars recycled rubber roofing tiles to their project specifications while ensuring the accurate inclusion of all necessary materials and installation methods.
ARCAT is a respected tool that continues to gain in popularity within design community and we are very pleased to be partnering with them through their Spec Wizard program, commented Tom Metoxen, EcoStars manager of technical and warranty services. Not only does this program increase EcoStars exposure among the architectural community, but it also ensures that our materials are specified in the proper manner.
