Our central New Jersey (Somerset County) architectural firm is seeking individuals to join our team in the position of Designer. Our core business is providing architectural and planning services to both public and private sector clients, with an emphasis on high performance/green design. We maintain a staff of approximately 25 including six licensed architects. Our firm organization and size allows our employees, architects, and principals to work collaboratively on a variety of both large and small scale projects. Responsibilities: Duties of the job include the following: Work closely with Architects and Project Managers on a variety of tasks as required to advance a project through any of the schematic design, design development, construction document, bidding, or construction administration phases. Interact with clients and/or engineering consultants as required to coordinate aspects of a project. Verify existing conditions in the field and convert field conditions to base drawings. Assist in developing technical aspects and details of a project. We fully support our unlicensed professionals in completing all aspects of NCARB's Intern Development Program. Qualifications: Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture. Prior experience in an architectural office is preferred. Ability to communicate clearly in both written & graphic formats. Proficiency in Autocad is required; experience w/ Revit, Photoshop, & Sketchup is preferred.
