Position Overview: The Solar Engineer will serve as the technical expert on all solar related projects. Primarily responsibility will include modeling solar field (troughs) and verifying OEM (SCA) performance. Responsibilities: • Using software to model predicted solar field performance. • Verify solar technology providers' design and performance. • Consult with the technical and management team on large scale EPC solar projects during the bid and execution phase. • Function as the solar technical expert for all solar related challenges for large scale projects. Qualifications: Qualified candidates will possess the following qualities: • Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university program. • Minimum of 5 - 10 years experience in power plant solar systems. • Experience in solar performance modeling is required. • Experience with modeling thermal energy storage is beneficial, but not necessary. • A Professional Engineer license is preferred.
