Only environmentally responsible ingredients are used to achieve the perfect balance of comfort, quality and health for you, your family and the planet. Its a complete "win:win" line of furniture. Furniture components: Organic Cotton: Only pure, seedless, handpicked organically grown and harvested cotton, eliminating impurities otherwise found in other cottons. This results in a pure, more resilient and less fragrant harvest. Natural Rubber: tapped from the rubber tree is used for cushions. Natural rubber is naturally dustmite repellant, resistant to mold and its biodegradable. Soda Ash and Zinc is all that's added, unlike conventional latex which contains various stabilizers, bonding agents, petroleum and chemicals. Natural rubber latex is flexible yet stable, absorbent, resilient and provides excelent heat and moisture regulation and air circulation. Maple Wood: Kiln dried maple for furniture frames. Interior wood is left unfinished. Exposed wood uses AFM Safecoat stain and sealant that has low-VOC content. Construction: Joints are double-doweled and glued with a water base glue. All loose cushions have either innerspring core blanketed with organic cotton batting or solid natural ruber core. Frame and cushions are encapsulated in organic barrier cloth to prevent dustmites. Exterior loose cushions are covered with metal-zippered fabric cover. Covers can be made in our organic cotton fabrics, non-organic twills or brushed twill, any of our other sustainable fabrics — or your own. Just give us the pattern name, number, color and manufacturer's name. If you prefer, your non-organic fabrics can be "safe-washed" to remove any unpleasant fabric finishes or odors. All pieces are hand made and can be customizable to your design and specifications. You get to have just what you want! This includes throw pillows, sofa skirts (or none), armsleeves, replacement cushions, slipcovers and coordinating curtains and drapes. Choose from our 100% organic cotton fabric collection, 100% cotton non-organic twill or brushed twill collection, or from our hemp blend upholstery weight fabrics. Our twill collection contains no sizing or chemical finishes. Fabrics can be detoxed with our exclusive SafeWash system. SafeWash makes most fabrics healthier by removing unpleasant fabric finish and dye odors. Or shop a fabric store near you; give us a pattern name, number, color, and manufacturer's name.
