Asko is an international corporation
with a complete line of high-performance dishwashers, washers
and dryers. Every Asko product is built with quality and environmental
sensitivity. Every component is constructed of steel rather than
plastic wherever possible. Their appliances perform well, are
ecology-friendly and all their dishwashers have earned the Energy
Star® label.
Energy
Star® is a voluntary partnership among the US Department of
Energy, the US Environmental Protection Agency, product manufacturers,
local utilities and retailers to promote energy efficiency and
conservation education.
Electrical
Efficiency: Asko brand dishwashers use just 344 kilowatt
hours per year. In comparison, other models use between 477 and
524 kilowatt hours per year. Asko clothes washers use 75% less
electricity than top-loaders, up to 40% less than domestic front-loaders
for a normal wash load.
Water
Efficiency: Asko's most efficient dishwashers use only
3.9 gallons for a normal cycle. Comparable dishwashers can use
7-10 gallons. Asko claims that their dishwashers can save as much
as 1,000 gallons every year of its 20 year life.
The
water savings is even greater for Asko clothes washers, which
can use as little as 5.7 gallons for a regular load done with
their Super Quick Wash program and still produce cleaner clothes.
Comparable average top-loaders use as much as 44 gallons and some
can use as much as 65 gallons.
Their
washers feature their Sensor Level Control System, which automatically
adjusts the water level according to the absorption rate of the
clothing, saving about 20% per load. These washers clean efficiently,
necessitating only one-third the detergent and no bleach. They
claim that this can amount to a savings of as much as 16,000 every
year of its 20 year life.
While
ordinary washers get their water from a hot water tank, Asko connects
only to the cold water line and uses an internal heater, reducing
the need for energy required to keep your water tank hot and leaving
plenty of hot water available for other household needs.
Asko
washers spin clothes at speeds as high as 1,600 rpm so they can
extract at least 40% more water than comparable machines for a
much shorter drying time. Asko dryers use precise heat and humidity
sensors to prevent overdrying and reduce wrinkles.
Their
washers and dryers have stainless steel tanks that dont
snag or rust. They require less space than other leading systems
and can save costs for water, electricity, detergent and bleach.
