Pair of Vintage Retro Glass Carafettes Two vintage carafettes, platinum series hand blown glass from Inland Glass Works, a Division of Club Aluminum Products of Chicago, manufactured in 1949. These “Carafettes” are classic mid-century modern design. Original tag lines for items like these read "Designed in a modern manner with the neck of the Carafe having a solid decoration of platinum which is fired into the glass to make it long wearing under constant use." That's for sure! They're about 60 years old! Originally made as "Individual Coffee Service for Two" with a coordinating ensemble which included a 12 cup Coffee carafe. Each of these carafettes comfortably holds 1-2/3 cups liquid and measure 5"H x 3-3/8"W. There is some scuffing off of the platinum color mostly at the top of one carafe. We do not recommend dishwasher, microware or top of stove use. Nice as a great set of cruets for oil and vinegar, for syrup, or cream in your coffee. Priced for the pair. Ships to USA addresses only.
